Committee

Joint President – Alex Mawson

Alex’s enthusiasm for community theatre began when she discovered a passion for Drama at high school. This passion led her to study drama at university. Since completing her degree in Arts/Education she has taught drama and directed musicals and shows at various high schools.

In recent years, her involvement in theatre has taken a back seat as she focused on raising my young children. Despite this, her commitment to the arts remains strong, and she looks forward to being a part of a wonderful team to bring engaging shows to our community!

Joint President – Josephine Sullivan
Jose moved to Port Fairy with a love for theatre and found a community in the Port Fairy Theatre Company. She now wants to give back to the group that gave her so much. Jose also has a young family, but it has not stopped her from starring in many of Port Fairy’s recent productions.
She loves the buzz that theatre can bring and is excited to be a part of a growing theatre community.

Secretary/Treasurer – Mary Ewen

Mary has a passion for the Port Fairy Theatre Company’s rich history which is shown through her ongoing commitment to the committee. She has been pivotal in the running of our company for many years and while we see her on stage at times, so much of her amazing work happens off stage keeping everything running.

Vice President  – Grace Brown

Grace is not only involved in Port Fairy Theatre Company but has been involved in many productions in Primary Performers and Warrnambool Theatre Company. Grace can do it all and we are so excited to welcome her to our committee.

Tricia Smith

Trish has been a committed member of the committee for many years now and she has a passion for writing and performing. As well as performing in many productions, Tricia is also passionate about bringing theatre to the younger generations and spearheads many youth productions.

Wendy Smyrk

Wendy has given many years on the Theatre Committee and her continued contributions have made it easy for other members to join the committee. She loves the theatre and is a regular on the stage!
